Anyone interested in swapping their (good condition) STI3 style Nardi wheel for an (almost new) STI 5 style Momo wheel please contact me. I just prefer to style of the Nardi to the Momo, in case your wandering. They are interchangeable, before you ask.

Moray,

I have an MY94 with Nardi gearshift and wheel. I admit the stick is a bit old, but the wheel is in good nick. I'd prefer a Momo wheel any day! Straight swap?

Phone: 0802 594994 or email (I can't mail back ATM cos me email is bust!)

Hi guys,
If they both have airbags in them, they may not be such a straight swap as you might think! Your car, (and personal) insurance could be affected by this if involved in an accident. Please be aware of this!

Hi Pilch (and others with uk nardis),

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunatly I am looking for an STI nardi (black with red stitching) to replace the STI momo, so unless the UK cars have this, which is unlikely (prove me wrong, go on ) I 'aint going to swap with a UK car.

Moray

Stuart Page,

The wheel is for an STI 3 (NO AIRBAG) and the MOMO airbag has been professionally deactivated (it could be removed if need be).
The NARDI wheels don't have airbags either, hence my original comment about compatibility. Thank you for your concern.

Question

I'd heard that the '98-on Momo wheel is pretty difficult to fit on to a pre-'98 car (and presumably vice-versa). I haven't got any experience myself though.

Do you know that a straight swap is possible?

Andrew (ever cautious).

Andrew,

I am cuurently steering my STI 3 with the Momo wheel, so I should imagine it is possible. (The STI 3 has the older style interior).

Ta Neil,
now everybody will want one!

I suppose that might widen the scope of donor vehicles to STI IVs as well, as the 22b started off as a IV donor car, I've been told!
