Default 6 speed into classic

has anyone done this as i can buy a 02 salvage sti with 6 speed . how much is the gearbox normally . and do i have to change any floor pan cheers for any help . ray

Check out David Wallis's project thread from a while ago, he documented this.

Think it was fairly OK, changing some electrical wiring loom, linkage bits, maybe mounts, but no cutting floor AFAICR.

Pretty easy to do, put a 6 in a classic about 6 times now, depends on what age your classic is, as to how easier it is.

interesting
after my recent mods my oo classic could be around the 330bhp and possibly more torque once mapped by 'bob'
also using organic clutch,5.7 kg flywheel and lighter flywheel
so,im expecting of aggro with the standard box which has now done 45,000 miles

could be on the look out for 1 soon,,,but hopefully not too soon,lol

my car is a my95 i can get a complete 02 import sti covered 28000 km cheaper than the box on its own so i might have some parts for sale if i win the car

I'd be interested to hear from where you can get a complete 02 STi car for £2K.

its a cat b car thats been rolled quite bad its my trade but dont normally buy scoobys but its so cheap ill find out tuesday if its mine . ray
