i have a 97 uk and im going to fit a wrx01 tmic, i will also be buying a splitter for the scoop from a mate the question is will the splitter still fit properly and will it have any affect as the i/c is different so it will sit differently

 

I've done exactly this
New age WRX IC onto a MY97.

To get the most out of the IC you will need to trim the scoop undertray (the bit with the rubber seal on). You need to remove about 1" all the way round. This means the splitter may not have anything to mount too!!

Check before you buy!!

 

cheers mate is it weak enough for a stanley to cut it or did you use a file.


did you bend the original brackets or did you buy new ones

have you noticed much difference, is yours a phase 1 or 2 engine
