I've had a snapped wheelstud on my car since I bought it (3 years ago ) but it's had a "modified" wheelnut on it which has meant the wheel is on OK but now the wheelnut has stripped it's thread.

Anyone know how easy it is to replace the stud? Where the heck do you buy new ones from (Scooby dealers only?)

 

remove brake disc. rotate stub til you find the most clearance behind stub to tap stud out. get new one from dealer. quite common for them to crossthread and break.
