If you do a search, you will find that adding a vta of any kind will have NO performance benifits, whilst introducing problems such as bore wash, lumpy idle etc.
I also went down this road, (stupidly) and within 2 weeks, I re-fitted the oe valve.
I found that the vta (turbo xs) actually increased turbo lag, and made the throttle feel like switch, i.e. very difficult to drive smoothly.

I know bout the problems they cause and i know its doesnt add performace - but i still want one! N thats why im not gunna spend money on blitz or HKS. Seems to be like some people get loads of probs and others get none!

My bf has wrx and HKS dv n he has no probs, just wastegate!

I've got one of these on the Type R I bought yesterday, it's great. The car's got a lovely unstable idle, and gearchanges under power are accompanied by a nice big sharp jolt.

As soon as the local Subaru dealership opens on tuesday I'm going to get a standard re-circ and put it on. Then I'm going to take a lump hammer and smash the hell out of the Bailey so it can never infect another Scooby.

Save yourself some money and don't bother.

In most circumstances wastgate flutter/chatter is caused by aftermarket dumpvalves which are incorrectly adjusted....be it recirc or atmospheric. - Just another reason to stick with the OE one
