Default Best remap option/ECU for MY95 Import???

Modifications are downpipe, decat, blitz exhaust, k&n IK! Getting a slight bit of det in 4th (only just bought the car and fitted knocklink straight away)

got an Sti 5 intercooler to go on as well as a standard airbox and sti panel filter asap.

What is the best/most worthwhile option for remapping or chipping my MY95 import WRX?

I would like it to be maped to run on optimax without the need for octane booster, and price is a factor as im a bit poor after buying the car and paying stupid insurance prices, tax etc etc....but i want it running right!

i live near scooby clinic, im going to give them a ring, but i would like info from folk who have had experience on here before I do so I know a bit more about things. I am willing to travel though for a proper job!

I was interested in the tek3 group buy but since read its not compatible with pre97.

cheers very much!

ECUTEK remapping is for MY99 + your best bet is as Simon suggests Apexi or Link, given the current success of cars running big power on Apexi that would be my choice

Personally having had both a Link and Apexi (pre97), it would have to be the Apexi. Link seems prehistoric in its operation compared to Apexi and has too many missing features/limitation.... IMHO.

We can all supply the one & same Scooby ECU as Scooby clinic but like for like in terms of cost the APEXi is the better option for just a few more pounds.
