Forester S Turbo information?
Can anyone tell me what sort of boost levels a Forester S Turbo (UK) should be running?
Any idea on what sort of transmission losses there are with the automatic gearbox?
I just want to double check some of the information I got from a rolling road day over the weekend.
Thanks
Andy

Andy,
11 psi/ 0.75 bar rings a bell from the past.
Can't help with transnision losses though.
I think Brian Lacey on www.subaruforester.com ran his auto s/tb on a RR in 2003 so he may have some info?

Cheers Ira, but are the cars in Malaysia different to the UK S Turbos.
The concern is that the boost levels on my car seem to be 0.45-0.5 bar, although I'm sure I've read that the Forester XTs (UK) hold this sort of level of boost.
Looks like around 38% transmission losses, assuming the rolling road gave a correct at the wheels figure.

Which rolling road did you use?
I know PE said they couldn't do my car and it can't do the run down correctly.
I used Surrey Rolling Road, who have the same rollers as G-Force and ScoobyClinic.
Worth talking to the rolling before hand to see whether they can cope with an auto, but remember you will only get reading for power at the wheels.

The first RR I tried was at Clive Athowes in Norwich on a Scoobycity RR day. He couldn't get a reading and then I tried the Thor people near Coventry. Again no result possible. I have read that Scoobyclinic now have a RR system so I might give them a ring and see what they say, it's not far from me.
