1k service, the right price....

Default 1k service, the right price....

hi,,just booked my car in for its 1000mile service, i told the guy it was an EU MY05 sti car and he told me the service will be about 140 pounds plus VAT,,,is this about right or are they robbing me..

Had mine done in January and just charged for oil. It's a company car but overheard £57 for oil and 75p for sump plug.....

If I remeber rightly, the labour is free for the first service and you pay for the materials. But if your car is from the EU then maybe they don't give you the labour for free, hence the higher price. I think my first service was 50 quid ish (that was for a WR1)

ok thanks guys, gonna just pay the stated then,i had to argue the price though, i wouldnt be scottish otherwise.

Well, I have booked mine into 3 different apporved subaru service garages and they all differ.


140 for shrewsbury
80 for walsall
87.50 for codsall

all prices do not include oil as i want to use mobile 1 10w-40w

mine is also a eu import sti

I have sent an email to suarau Malta asking for the money back !!! we will see what happens

I thought the 1k service was free for EU imports ,it cost me £90 for the 1k service for my jdm wrx.

Had my MY54 Sti serviced at jennings in middlesbrough .They payed the labour, it only cost me about 40 quid.

I paid about £140 for my 1000 mile service for my EU Belgian Import a couple of years ago.....

UK cars got this free at my local dealer but as I had saved about £3000 I was not too bothered

The labour element is paid for by IM, so it's only free for UK supplied cars.....
