Need 2 new front tyres - thinking of changing to Toyo T1-R's

Need 2 new front tyres - thinking of changing to Toyo T1-R's
The rears are currently Bridgestone RE010's.
Has anybody had any problems with the T1-R's and are they any better / worse than the T1-S' ?
Will there be that much of a difference running 'mis-matched' pairs of tyres front and back?
Currently running an 01 Bugeye Wagon - all Standard.

Have T1-R's on my 01 bugeye (In 18in fitment)
MUCH better than the T1-S in my opinion.Excellent grip in the dry/wet too
I've used T1-S,Goodyear F1 GSD3's and now T1-R's and the R's are the best out of the bunch IMO.
