What are the advantages or disadvantages of a TD05 over a VF23 and visa versa?
cos I have just fitted a TD05 to my car (which has a FMIC) and its ffing brill but a bit laggy can a VF23 make the same boost and power and can it do it earlier?
Basically which would you run?
hence the poll 8)

i'm no expert but i've heard where scoobies when using a front mount IC feels a little laggy due to the different piping...also how much boost are u running...higher boost pressures take a bit loonger to build up for its peak.
hope it helps in some way until u get the answer ur looking for

TD05 will make more power than a VF23. It will spool better than a VF23 as well. You need to get a remap to get the benefits though. If you were to map a car fitted with a VF23 and one with a TD05, the TD05 would be better all over the rev range with quicker spool up. This is from a bloke, (me), with a VF23 fitted to his car, (MY00), soon to install a TD05/06 20G. I have the 20G in my posession, but still trying to decide which intercooler route I'll take hence the wait. I was going to fit a TD05, but because I know I'll get used to the power and will want more, decided on the 20G. Out of the VF23 and TD05, TD05 every time.
Cheers,
George.
