Default Louder exhausts ?

Was just wondering which exhausts are pretty loud. I've currently got a magnex oval 6x4 but want something quite a bit louder. Want a really good flat 4 noise when cruising speed with a nice aggresive bark when you floor it. Any ideas ??

Stick with the non chav one you already have and help preserve what remains of the tattered Impreza image

If not, the Blitz is annoyingly loud, HKS Hiper slightly less loud than that,

I hate to admit it but I am a bit of a chav your right. Been looking at a few different ones like H&S and a Scorpion system. Any idea how these sound?

I had a Scorpion once on a Renault I had and it was LOUD..!

I've just got a Ninja system for the scoob as I believe it's a good sound but not over the top.
As DBM said you don't want it too loud, it attracts too much attention..!

I heard one the other day and when he put his foot down it had a bit of a 'ripple' in the tone and made it sounds like it was ripping the tarmac up, sounded beautiful

I'm thinking of getting a Magnex 6 x 4 BB for now....just to change the peashooters really. Also considered ninja. I want a good burble and a bit of noise on booting it...but not too much.

Was also offered a STi BB for £140 ish - what do you think?

Oh, and sorry for hijacking your thread matey

B Box will make a fair bit of difference, but a full decat is probably what you heard.

Where does the flat 4 noise come from. I keep hearing 'with resonator'. What does that mean ?

As far as i understand it, the burble comes about because the exhaust headers are unequal lengths....you can get more power by changing these, but most love the sound!!!
The resonator (on the newage anyway) is the long part of the centre section, after the cat pipe, and just muffles the sound a bit.
I have a Ninja BB which is noisy, but not too much, and a non-resonating centre to beef it up a bit more.....full decat to come though!!!

Seriously though, had the Ninja a year and i'm dead chuffed. Afterburner Vortex is a little deeper, but i prefer the look of the Ninja, and they are both very well made.

BPM TWISTER 3", 116 DECIBELS @ 6000 RPM, THAT LOUD ENOUGH?
(with a decat downpipe too)
The smacs just did a rr @ prosport in january, and I took sound level measurements of all the cars as they did thier power runs.
Results here

You can get in touch with anyone on the list to see what exhaust they are running

dbm, like I said, you'd have to get in touch with the individuals on scoobynet. All the user names are there, except "paul" who isn't on here yet.

.....that will be the Afterburner Vortex.

Very loud on a full decat....too much sometimes.
