Default new car, new to site !

new to this site and to Subaru - have just done first 1k miles in 05 WRX SL (crystal grey) and absolutely love it. came from a mk iv golf 4motion and the drive of the WRX is a million miles ahead in my opinion.

it's sooooo nice to have steering and suspension that actually tell you what's happening, preformance is way beyond anything I've had before (used to be an Alfa nut before the Golf). Wish I'd bought an Impreza before now but very happy with the 05 model.

anyone else come from VW to Subaru ?

no worries there..... this is like re-living my Alfa days but with a jet engine instead of a twin-spark. (I'd still rate the 8-valve 2.0 and really miss the 2.5 V6)

I am looking into changing my car at the moment.

I have a Black Leon Cupra R!

Might get a WRX SL & add PPP or the newest low mileage STI / STI PPP I can get for my money (£20K).

I do 20-25k Miles a year which is a bit of a worry though

Darren01, if you're tall (say 6'3" or over) then the SL may give you headroom problems as the sunroof cuts into the cabin by a few inches. just about bearable for me though and is my only minor gripe.

your Cupra will handle better than my old Golf but you'll still notice a real difference in the WRX. I think I'm right in saying STI will be much firmer still.

Not much chance of me with headroom problems! 5'10"

LCR has been good to me and is chipped to 265 bhp. It is at this time of year you realise 4x4 would be a good idea....
