Default few days off work

i have some time off work so i was thinking of servicing my93 wrx. what oil do ppl reccomend for engine and box? also coolant? i heard you cant use regular "motorworld" coolant? do i need something special?

For my engine, I use Silkolene Pro S 15W50. Motul 300V is also recommended. I put Silkolene Silktran Syn5 in my box but others recommend Shell Helix something or other.

I'm also doing a service this week

is castrol gtx magnatec semi synthetic 10-40 good for my car? morrisons got 5l for £20. how much do i need for my engine?

Yeah, there's a few reports of Magnatec "breaking down" under the heat in a scoob engine.

Get a good quality brand like the Silkolene or Motul 300V. You only need a 5L tub as the oil capacity of the scoob (including filter) is 4.5L.

nice one. how about gear box though? how much to fill from empty and what type? 93wrx.

the oil in my box seems really clean. its low though can i get away just toping up with castrol syntrax? thing is i dont know what type brand oil is allready in there. is it ok to mix?
