I know that we can be quick to criticise, but I also think it is important to praise as well. I bought the WW starter kit and used it for the first time at the weekend. The finish was excellent and even now, nearly a week on (and a fair amount of rain), the car still looks good. I think you can say I am very impressed.

So if you are thinking of buying the waxes - do it. It is probably the simplest (and cheapest) way to improve (and preserve) the looks of your car. Don't waste your time with the stuff you can buy in the high street. I think it will be Merlin wax next time...

I was lucky enough to meet Mark Underwood and Sunil purely by chance last night (pleasure to meet you both) and it was nice to speak to someone who really knows their stuff when it comes to car care.

Two other BBS members have just taken the plunge and bought some Wax Wizard kits. The emails of amazement and praise which came back after the weekend were very nice indeed!

Mark - I've been looking at your online shop. Very nice. Which is the WaxWizard equivalent of the Zym*l "shampoo" (the nice-smelling blue stuff)? Is it the cleansers? If so, which one do I need for a reddish blue Scooby?

The cleansers are just that...pre wax cleaners like HD Cleanse.

Shampoo...if u want some of the Z stuff call us on 0800 074 1608. Got lots of specials on Z* stuff at the moment. Just had a delivery in from the states. Tell me what u want and thou shall have.

 

Ok, I am thinking of taking the plunge, after many years of Halfords and Turtlewax
Mark, I have a sonic blue scoob which is parked on the drive in all weather and I am a lazy lazy man. Whats a good wax for me? I wont want to apply it very often - unless it's as quick as a shammy (Which I also hate doing).
Plus I am suffering from stone-chip's on rear arches (stupid fat tyres). So need some easy way to hide the minor scratches.
In fact, I am one sorry mother f.

Chuck, you need the Merlin Wax.....its soooo easy to use, Mark waxed (i.e. applied and buffed off) half my bonnet in 56 secs!!......who says you cant wax a car in under half an hour!

I've been in touch with Mark about his products with a prospect of trying to get a similar kit for the RSOC. After chatting to him about the possibilities of such a kit he sent me some of his No2 cleanser and some wax to try out on my black RS and the results were absolutely outstanding. I couldn't believe how deep the shine was compared to the Turtle wax, Simonez and Autoglym products.
Someone came to look at the car next day and bought it straight away without even trying to haggle the price down at all. The car looked amazing (for an Escort you understand.. cos a polished turd is still a turd afterall ). Anyway, a big thanks to Mark and the Scoobynet community that brought this product to my attention. I will definitely be using his product when I get mynew car.

Have just got and used Merlin starter pack. Brilliant.

Even the shampoo brought the car up a treat, the cleanse (no2) was a bitch. Mark, I hated you for an hour!! thank god it only needs doing twice a year, but the result was worth it!! Now with one coat of merlin wax, (and one to go) fantsatic.

I can't beleive how easy the Merlin was is to apply and buff up. 30 minutes for the whole car.

Even the wheel cleaner is superb. so much better than Wonder Wheels, and easier/quicker to use.

WW and Mer are like Butter and cheap marg. Mer is a Polish, WW is Wax.

Mer is great for getting marks/scratches out, and takes it down to the bare paintwork, but leaves the suface peppered with tiny scratches itself. WW is a wax that coats and protects the paintwork, and gives a deep shine!

I used to use Mer, then went to autogym and now onto WW. The difference is stunning.

Will still use mer if I have scratches to get out etc, but will WW after to get the finish.

HD Cleanse will get out most scratches that Mer will anyhow.

Gary... cleanse is designed not only to cleanse the paint and remove the contamination etc but will also remove swirls and minor scratches. Cleanse No2 will make mince meat of swirls etc and for more bad scratches u just has to press harder. The oils sink into the paint and rejuvenate it and swell the surrounding area so that the swirls etc self heal.

 

I guess I'm one of the geezers the Mossman alludes to.

4 hours of hard work and it's mint. My wife was so impressed she even helped.

It looks AWESOME and more.......
