Default Time for the sport to go I think.

It's time for the sport to go I think and get a classic wrx to replace it I want to keep the interior out of it for the new one because it has a classic sti interior I have a few options but wanted some feedback on the best way to go please. Here's the car:

Option number 1) Source a classic turbo/wrx interior and ebay it as it is
Option number 2) Source a classic turbo/wrx interior and stick it on autotrader as it is
Option number 3) Put it all back to standard and sell the bits we don't want anymore and advertise the car as standard on autotrader. I think this is the worst idea because I don't think it'll sell.

The spec of the car at the moment is:

16" turbo wheels (still have standard 15" alloys)
UK turbo 2 pot front brakes with ebc grooved and dotted disks (still got standard brakes)
STI (?) lightweight alloy bonnet (still got standard bonnet)
STI classic interior (still got standard interior but it's crap )
Hand made (some rally prep place in Wales) Group N backbox (still have standard one)
K&N panel filter but I'll keep that for the wrx

Thanks

this belongs in for sale surely?

first option would be best, (if theres anyone there to buy it) id do £1 no reserve, and pull it if it dosent get the interest you hoped for.

wrong time of year for autotrader imho.

Option number 1 is my favourite too.

Another question then how much is a standard interior second hand?

Paul; over and above what youve suggested, Id advise you to make the original parts, wheels and bonnet, available too. Theyre of liitle or no value to you and they will reassure a prospective buyer who might be concerned about insurance.

That's exactly what I would be looking for and what no doubt the new one will come with so I will just ebay the interior out of that one to recover the losses I just had a quick look though and could only see a P1 interior so if anyone spots one or has one or anything can they PM me please

Thanks

All the standard parts will go with the car anyway because they will be no use to me at all

You'll probably get more money selling everything seperately and selling the car standard. You might even get some sensible money for the number plate.

I didn't think these sold for much though if at all as standard cars It has just clicked over 100,000 miles so isn't that low mileage for a sport either

Would it really be worth selling the plate then? What would you be likely to make?

Thanks

The only person that will be interesed in the car as is, will probably be a chav who will want it for dirt cheap. Why not put it back to std then at least you might sell it to some one worth while. Sorry to all the chavs out there!

Prob with cars that are made up to be summit they aint is they put insurance up a lot, and get a lot of interest from the wrong people. Putting it back to std will mean that it will open up the market for some people who want to buy it for a general car, not for what it looks like, plus the wheels, bonnet and such like will sell to someone who wants to do similar to their sport(unlike me).
Try them on http://www.imprezasport.net/. There maybe someone on there who will want the parts!

If you got say £200-300 for the plate, and make sure the buyer pays for the transfer (£80 IIRC).

You'll need the V5 and MOT from both cars. They will issue you a replacement tax disc for both cars (and you return the old ones by post) as well as stamp the current MOt to notify a change of plate. Very straight forward to sort out at your local DVLA office.

DVLA will issue you the previous number plate for the sport.
