Daft question I know. But I'm trying to put my locking wheel nuts on and I can't for the life of me see where the tool kit is. I've tried next to the Jack and underneath the boot cover where the spare is. I even lifted the spare up but I can't see it.

In my MY03 STi the wrench, locking-nuts-key, screwdriver etc. are all in a little plastic Subaru bag about 4" by 12"

 

And where's the Bag?

I guess that's the problem with non-subaru dealers.

 

You've looked in the obvious places (except the glove box!), I'd give your dealer a call and see if they have any ideas.

In any case, the tiny wrench is so short I'd be surprised if you can get the nuts off with it without whacking it with a hammer and risking damaging something - and even more surprised if you can put the new nuts on with sufficient torque. I always use a proper socket set - I have an 18" breaker bar to get the nuts off, and I use a shorter ratchet handle to put them back on.

 

Bag is in the little hatch in the left hand side boot trim.

The bag may have slipped down into the void around the jack.

 

Thanks guys. I'll check that jack hatch again. But I couldn't see or feel it when I crammed my hand in.

 

I have a telescopic wrench in my car, kept just under the front driver's seat, "because it flies around in the boot officer".

When extended, it will remove even nuts put on by a gorilla with a windy gun, and when not extended, it puts them on at a decent torque.

Plus, when extended "quickly" it resembles a copper's asp.

Paid £5 from Screwfix, but good carshops also have them at about £7
