Scoobynet / SIDC
Hi there,
Quick question, may be totally non relevant and if i dig myself a big hole just turn your head
Has Scoobynet got anything to do with the SIDC or any relevance at all? I don't mean as to Impreza related but i mean, are the 2 totally different or is there the general club link?
Ian
PS- Yes i know that i should know the answer to this by now, but in general i have always thought that they have been linked with each other, and with the bbs going down lastweek and being brought back by Simon (thankgod
) It seems to me that it is totally different - I'm not complaining about this at all!
PPS- Oh yeah, I'd like to say Thankyou to Phil too for keeping it going over the last
year... and everyone else who has made it possible
PPPS- I have an idea, we had the SIDC sticker but how about a Scoobynet sticker?

Simon,
Sounds like a good idea for free website advertising. If people are prepared to put them on their cars.
I think Stefs mate Pete makes stickers.
How about "Impreza owners talk about it on Scoobynet
"
Just an idea - LOL
cheers

Simon,
Something like Chrisp or Rik said. I don't normally like stickers in the car as it does look Boy Racer type, but then again you couldn't really say Scoobynet is the same as Kenwood
Something small, but at the same time smart and sleek (something along the lines of the SIDC sticker ). A good one could possibly be 'Scoobynet Impreza'?
And to Ian Cook - Thankyou i realise that now
- my mistake. The topic this leads me to think now is: Why am I a member of SIDC? It would be better being a member of Scoobynet? From a personal view SIDC is great, but everything i see revolves around Scoobynet as for meets, reference to problems , talk with other memebers (i,e Community
). I haven't really benefited from being a member at all except for getting a sticker, a tax disc holder and a copy of truegrip every now and again. It just seems everything i joined SIDC for is what i get with Scoobynet.
I don't want to cause any disruptions or anger towards anyone and apologise to everyone if this does, It's just something that has sprung to mind.

Yeah, a sticker is a great idea - I often wonder when I see Scooys if they're on the bbs. Please though, something tasteful eh? How about a smallish window sticker with the Scoobynet logo and web address on?
Andrew
I have often thought about this...
When flashing a scooby, it would be cool if you could tell that they are a ScoobyNet reader.
Maybe we could develop a special wave!!!
(I know it's sad, but it could be a giggle).
Cheers

Hi all,
Having read the posts regarding Scoobynet stickers.I too am not one for plastering my motor with stickers, having only the obligatory and farily discreet SIDC sticker and an SWRT sticker in the back window.I would, however ,proudly have my Sport wear a tasteful sticker to show my allegiance to the Scoobynet.Perhaps there should be a recognised place for it to go, like bottom off-side corner of front windscreen, so as to be easily spotted by passing Scoobys.
Viva Scoobynet!

As slogans or statements go, how about something along the lines of "Scooby owners do it on all fours (x4's)" or "do it on all fours (x4's) at scoobynet.co.uk" ?? The (x4's) is just a suggestion for an alternative way of writing the "four" part of the statement.
So what do you reckon crap or what??

If we were to make the sticker pink (a la STi badge colour) and all place it in the same position (off-side bottom or top corner would be fine by me) then it would add a little zest to seeing another scoob, though I hardly see any others anyway down here in the land of the crinklies.
When I had my Cosworth I had it service at Brooklyn (highly regarded in the RSOC) and they put a discrete Brooklyn sticker in the top corner of the screen. I went there for so long I ended up with two - for long service (and empty pockets) I suppose.

Great!
My slogan immortalised on every Scoob
I'm all for it, though being able to read it head on at a closing speed of >120 may be a bit difficult

I think you might need the url though, or would that just cause all the Max Power types to come on here and cause trouble?
