Wink So what would YOU do.....and why??

Ok so its decision time....

MY05 WRX with PPP
or
EVO VIII 260

Experiences with the former are probably limited but how does the evo stack up in base form?

Go for the EVO if it is going to be a weekend car, go for the Impreza if it is your everyday drive.

Only an oil change for the AYC I believe. Also 3yrs free servicing on the evo now.

Default EVO!!!

Although I own a STI, I would pick the evo with no doubts in my mind. now if it was a choice between a STI and an EVO that would be a little harder, I love the STI interior. especially the 05. All of my friends in the states drive impreza's or evo's and It is a sad fact that an evo will be a better car for less money.

I had a good 45 minute back road test drive in this 260 which was the dealers own 6,000 mile demo model going for £20,000. I really loved it a lot, the looks are superb, all those different branded badges look smart and the steering feel and acceleration were impressive. However the ride was as hard as fukc (more worse than my MINI Cooper S) and it wasn’t that practical for our growing family (no ISOFIX points in the rear, costly servicing at least twice a year and quite high insurance costs).

So we decided on this instead and love it completely. Ok it’s not been PPP’d, but the ride is less ‘trackday’ than the EVO and it sounds much better at idle – all those characteristic burbley noises from the Prodrive backbox etc. Don’t regret it for a minute – the wife is a complete Scooby convert and wants a Forester for herself!

The Evo 260 does have ISOFIX ??? The FQ's don't though.
