No it wasn't the one used on thursdays getaway but one of our cars was stolen from central London on the 02nd of August, last wednesday. Details;
Impreza WRX, black, 94 model, reg; L215 XLO. Chassis no. GC8-018341
The car had Leda B suspension, full Scoobysport exhaust system and Brembos (grooved discs). These items in particular may be offered around. FYI everyone.

There is a nasty dose of Scooby nicking going on in and around Central London at the moment, not helped by a magazine (which shall remain nameless) running an article on 'The best getaway cars'

If you have to take your Scoob into Central London at the moment be VERY VERY careful where you park it

I've also popped this on 22B, the more people who know, the better.

Yes, that magazine that we all disowned, but then suddenly members allow their cars to be featured in!

I would think it highly unlikely that article has a bearing on Scooby thefts.

Ziya

As a supporter of ScoobyNet II, including the Banner Ad we are running for you from Monday, I would think that you can expect support from all of us in terms of watching out for the components that would have come from your car.

Thank you for your support (we appreciate it), and good luck getting it back (if that's what you want)

Regards

Hi Ziya

In light of what 'nearly' happened to me yesterday... being a Black WRX as well...

I have been feeling quite sure that these jerks would not have got the car because of the engine immobiliser... but now I'm not so sure.

Did they bypass the immobiliser on your stolen car or use some other means? It would help to know.

Thanks
Penni

Hi Penni

Nice to hear from you despite the circumstances.
I'm not sure how they got the car, it was parked on a parking meter in Marble Arch! (24 hour area of London for heavens sake). I even had a steering lock on. Its possible that they just lifted the car up and transported it away. Nobody would say anything anyway these days...
I think its best to have a tracker if you really care about your Rex. Or I've seen an ad somewhere for a system thats puts a bolt through the gears that totally immobilisers the car till unlocked. Must have a look and find that ad soon or its back to putting the Rottwieler in the car!
