STOLEN
Further proof if needed that whoever ran the best getaway car feature earlier this year are a bunch of irresponsible muppets. Sadly I think they are the same bunch that did the dyno day
Anyway, STOLEN yesterday evening from Heathrow Airport
Silver WRX - 1994 - L410 NJO
If you see the car mail me - you know where to find me.
The police comment was that it is probably stashed in a lock up waiting to be used on a job (like busting some wiseguys out of court like last week!).
If you have any info it would be appreciated.

Squizz - Not the most tactful/useful post i have read.
hindsight is a most beautiful thing and a Trackeralike system is no guarantee
Chopping car thieves hands off probably is though....

Rannoch - I do apologise. My rant was pointed the direction of "dholmes" and his blithe "I am seriously thinking of having a Tracker device fitted to my car."
I certainly was not making light of your situation. I hope you have luck in having your pride and joy found un-molested and the culprits locked away.
Thieving scum make my blood boil. (And my insurance rocket sky-high!!)
And as for Paul Habgood! - Well admonished, sir...Totally correct. (We all have bad days - Poor Rannoch especially!). Once again I apologise.

If you do/intend to have a tracking device fitted then DONT ADVERTISE THE BLOODY FACT!!
I wonder if all the trackstar units in the P1s are in the same place - hence making it easy peasy to find them, rip them out and render them useless.

I've heard from reliable sources (my policeman dad, and a tracker/trackstar fitter) that most thieves know the likely places to find them on a Subaru...Coz there's only three or four places they can fit on our particular car.
Typical.

Gentlemen...
...thank you all for your kind comments - remember to keep your eyes open for the car...
...for those that know me you will realise it is not mine - its actually my secretary's brother's - I will pass on these kind words.
The car was parked on the street - he had forgotten his security pass for the car park.
Also a comment on Trackers - did anyone see the photo's of the car taken from Donington last year - they ripped it apart looking for the Tracker - and when it was recovered that was the only damage that had been done!
Keep your eyes peeled and your cars locked,
Cheers,
R

A horrible experience even to the most hardened of people........I've had every supercar under the sun and have never known the attention a scooby seems to attract from the wrong sort, up here in Rochdale a woman getting into her scooby was gun threatened and had her car taken right outside her home and in broad daylight........buying my first scooby 3 weeks ago I purposely bought a yellow one thinking it not every body's cup of tea and hard to go unoticed, having said that it also has 1 x cat 1, a seperate immobiliser, a gear lock ( reccomended by SIDC ), a steering wheel lock and wait for it.....a 24hr tracker ( cost £650 instalation and £10.99 a month ).oh and my wife's in the drug squad and is known to a fair few people ! is all this really worth it.........at the moment, yes.
