The kingdom of Bhutan has banned smoking. Not in public places, just banned it! After 17 December, anyone caught selling tobacco products will be punished.

Any foreigner (who rather bizarrely can still smoke) caught selling tobacco to Bhutan nationals will be treated as a smuggler.

hahaha, as a light/part time smoker myself I wish the same would be done here....then I wouldnt have a choice but to stop!

 

That's incredible, seeing as they only just allowed TV in.

How are they going to handle the advertising?? Or are there no tobacco ads on world TV any more??
