Naff MAF ... what symptoms

If my MAF sensor is knackered what are the symptoms ?

Car's a ECUTek'ed 2001 ....

rough idle (could stall)
hesitation when accelerating
running lean (need something like an AFR meter to tell you this)
increased activity on a knocklink display

i'm getting some knock at high rpm .... idle's fine, and no hesitation (like i had on my 97)...
