Any recommendations for bumpsteer and geometry alignment, North of England or Scotland.
Power Station did a good job on the STi but that is 220mls from here.

 

Falkland Performance in Glenrothes got the kit to do bumpsteer removal and tried it on mine and have done some others since. I liked the overall results although had other suspension work done at the same time. I've not driven a Powerstation bumpsteer removed car to know if the results would be any different. 01592 773677.

Do they actually shim the steering rack to remove the Bumpsteer (the only way it can be fully removed)? the reason I ask is I thought Powerstation were the only company to do this.

 

Yes they do actually put shims in the steering rack....watched my sti get done at Falkland earlier this year.

What is bump steer then?

 

Put very simply the geometry of the car will change as the wheels are compressed (or decompressed) as you go over a bump or into a corner etc. This effect can be eliminated or at least reduced by spacing out the steering rack so that the change in the geometry is lessened.
