Exclamation FMIC & PRESSURE RELIEF PROBS

I have recently had an engine rebuild and have a GEMS ecu and a hybrid FMIC from group buy running 1.5 bar through my std td05 turbo. I have a forge atmos dump valve with a blue spring and on lift off my dump valve works but I get a lot of boost pressure going through my turbo and out through my induction kit as well. How do we combat this problem with the FMIC. Do I need a better/bigger dump valve something like turbosmart? or what about twin dump valves.

With the FMIC the dump valve location is just befor the inlet connection after the intercooler but on the std system the dump valve used to be just after the compressor outlet before the intercooler. Could this add to the problem.

I still get the 'chat' 'chat' sound at low revs as well.

Does any one have any suggestions please

Thanks

Harvey did a lot of experimentation to resolve this, perhaps he will comment, but I believe the solution was a softer spring.

As long as it is not leaking the OEM MY97/98 recirc DV seems to work well.
