They are slow, arent they.

I bought a four month old MY01 WRX, and thought someone had taken the turbo off it.

Dont worry, you can make them fast, so all is not lost.

thye aint slow.....just depends whos driving the damn thing....

 

its not the performance that attracted me in the first place.

looks, price and headroom is the main reasons.

 

Make them fast...... waste of money.

Anyway, after having agreed a sale on my Classic MY00 I discovered that it will do 67MPH in second gear before hitting the rev limiter.

 

yes, yes i am.

67 in 2nd. crikey. on the test drive it was like warp factor 9 mr sulu! just kept going and going in 3rd.

 

If I remember correctly, the figures for the WRX03 are:

1st=39MPH
2nd=67MPH
3rd=97MPH
4th=137MPH
5th=145MPH

 

0-60 is 5.5 secs, Evo Mag or 5.6 in Top Gear.
How can that be slow then?!

 

From Prodrive -

0-60 in 5.5, 0-100 in 15.9 so 60-100 in 10.4 (Evo has 10.2)
30-70 through gears - 5.7.

Go onto the prodrive website and find the PPP for MY03/04, download the .pdf and there's a breakdown of in gear times through 20 mph increments if your **** enough to want to know (like me )
