I am in the process of selling my car and I just seem to get people ringing from the other end of the country! I am based in south Wales but have had people from Scotland and England ringing is this common? Have you ended up selling your scoobies to people that live miles and miles away?

I am just reluctant to say to someone yeah it's great and then they come 100's of miles and slate the car and say it's rubbish and why did I say it was great!

when i put my 205 gti on autotrader i had dodgy email offers from holland, ireland and even one from mauritius offering more than my asking price

 

Don't fret about it! I travelled from S. Wales to London to view/buy my UK turbo, I then sold that to a couple who travelled down from Liverpool to view/buy that, and I then went down to Plymouth to view/buy my Sti8....since yr selling its them that will have to travel to view and collect yr car. If they're willing to travel that far to view, then they're serious about buying and that could make the difference between it selling or not.

 

Sold mine on here to M44GGY, Rich travelled from London to Cornwall for it. Not uncommon in my opinion.

I travelled from Leicestershire to Chester to buy mine, to get the right one you have to go a bit further affield.

I did Lancs to London to buy my 205 (from Scoobynet member), then from Lancs to Leicester to buy my 405, which is to be used whilst I fix the blown up 205

 

travelled from swansea to ellesmere port to buy my manta 240, sold it to someone from leeds, bought my 3 scoobs from cardiff, part xd 2 back there and partxd the last one and bought my evo from dudley, i would travel for the right car

i drove from Huddersfield to Hampshire (220 miles) to buy mine last weekend - i'd done the deal over the internet/ phone before i went down

 

Drove from Scotland to Oxford to buy a 911, Scotland to reading to buy a Lotus, then to Essex to buy a GT-4, if its a 'specialist' motor people will travel. When I got my 'standard' WRX wouldn't have gone more than 50 miles given that there are plenty around.
