Angry Paper towel stuck in my Petrol Tank.

Today, I filled my Stiv7 up with Shell Optimax, but Accidentally over filled it slightly... so i got one of those free paper towels & mopped it up....however a small piece got caught on the petrol flap & got jammed. Try as I might I could not get the small piece out, the more I tried to lift the petrol flap the more the little piece of paper towel went further in.
Question is, will this do any damage to my car or will it dissolve & get lodged in the fuel filter??
You advise is a appreciated

Ps

I did get most of it out, only a small piece tore away as it was damp.

Can't see it being a problem myself, If you could look inside the tank I am sure there would be lots of foreign objects / dirt etc floating around.

Good luck !

I went to my local garage/mot centre & they told me it would be ok, but as its my pride & joy just wanted to ask you guys...

I have looked inside the petrol tank, but I am unable to find or see anything got my torch & still unable to see anything. I also put a large thin screw driver down to see if a could catch/bring anything up... no luck...

dont have to worry mate you have a fuel filter change it after a couple of tanks and make sure you use all the petrol in the tank and run it to red a couple of times then replace the fuel filter

There is a sock on the fuel pick up in the bottom of the tank that will stop this even getting out of the tank. The holes in it are pin hole sized or smaller.

Thanks guys for all your info.
I take it then from all the comments that it will remain at the bottom of the fuel tank until disolved? & will not do any damage.
