On my MY01 sometimes if i am just tootling along in 1st gear say on a car park -maybe gently accelerating it will jump out of first gear into neutral-any idea's what could be causing this-is it something simple as car is in for service monday so if its just something simple could get it looked at then? any idea's

 

early cars used to do this and the fix was a new synchro hub

 

is that a big job or expensive?

 

both it means splitting the box and strip down of a shaft

could get to the point where you won't be able to hold it in gear but that is extreme
