Has anyone here got one of these fitted on a top mount intercooler?

http://www.aquamist.co.uk/cp/sys1/sys1a.html

Is it worth £324?
Can i get it cheeper anywhere?

These actually inject water into the inlet air stream and not onto the intercooler. I am assuming you didn't know this from your description - if you did then cool

Me too, handy thing. only thing is it will reduce power, not increase it.

It's good for keeping det free, charge temps down on the track and the like.

Can be mapped to give you more power, but then if the tiny little nozzle blocks up, or you run out of water you risk an expensive 'POP'

It reduces power as water does not burn

without WI

with WI

I think I must have put some info in wrong though, at the time I don't remember loosing so much, only about 10bhp with the WI. It was a long time ago

Water injection will cool the charge and slow the cylinder temperature rise. This decreases the chances of detonation occuring and more boost / ignition advance is possible, increasing the engine's output. Simply slowing down the combustion process without any other modifications wont increase the engine's output

It's 'road dyno' just sit's flat and level facing forward in the car then records G force.

Then you type in weight, drag, gearing, wheel size and stuff into the computer. It's not greatly accurate but it lets you see progress.

the 250bhp there gave 235 on the rollers at star.

Then again plugged up to my mates s6 it kept giving 320 odd bhp, despite it only being 230.
