Have got the opportunity to buy a WR1.....what I need to know is have any current owners manged to get any good deals with their suppliers?
I have got my list ready of good and bad points and have bargained to some extent, but need to know how much further I can go without blowing my chances.......

Any replies would be good and VERY useful......

Agree with above post.... it really depends on how quickly the dealer want's to shift it... people on here have had differing incentives when purchasing their cars, but as a guide it appears that the common thing was a set of mudflaps or strutbrace... I managed a few hundred quid extra on my trade in and my dealer threw in a Scooby jacket, although I must admit it was not part of my 'deal' more like a nice afterthought....


Dont forget that most of the early deals were for the loooooonnng wait some of us were going through.

There's been a WR1 sitting in the showroom at Town and County(Perth) for a while, try using the two dealers against each other! Was still there last week when I was up!

I did'nt get any money off list price, but got parking sensors, painted side strips and Ł400 more than book for my trade in. I suspect they'll be open to any extras added on.

IMHO side strips are essential as they really help prevent those parking dents.

I had to pay the list price but i did got a lot over book for my 2 year old WRX. It was about the same price or maybe a couple of hundred quid more than a couple of garages offered me in part exchange a year ago!

As LiamWR1 said, it depends how quickly the dealer wants to shift the car.

It's a very very good car.

I paid list but got 5 grand for an X reg 206 diesel 3 door with 60,000 on the clock as p/x so was very happy, got a good deal when I bought the 206, so only lost 1400 quid in 60,000 miles, wonder if scoob will be same ? ...sumo

Well, went back yesterday and the dealer said there are five left in the country, three of them have been 'promised' to perspective buyers, but the other two are still on the forecourts, one of them being in Perth and the other in Yorkshire, (now why doesn`t that surprise me!!).

Peter 'PUT' me in the UK300 and went to speak to the salesman, and came out empty handed, now if I had gone in I would hopefully come out of there a VERY HAPPY BUNNY........but instead I had to settle for a curry!!!!

I might have the opportunity to pick up a cancelled order, but what kind of price do you think I should expect on a totaly standard STi7 Type UK Prodrive bodykit version with 22,000 miles in very good condition with the exception of a small dent on the bonnet.
