Question Emissions failure

Hi, My car failed the NCT (mot) today on Co emmissions, I replaced the downpipe and centre section to the standard one before the test thinking that It'd pass but it was .7 and the max is .3. Bugger
Any ideas how to correct this, It's a MY94 Turbo.
Thanks in advance
John

Could possibly be the Lambda sensor getting a little tired ( In need of replacing) or could just need running for a few days with CATS on if they have been in storage

Cheers

Default thanks

Cheers DelBoy, I only put them on the night before and they've not been on it in years... it passed the lamda emmissions on the report?? Might be worth changing anyway.
Thanks again
John
