Hi all

just had an Apexi AVC-R installed on scooby.... got home... while letting it idle for a few mins.. i tapped the accelerator when looking at the setting on the controller and noticed a ticking/tapping noise when revs began to rise...

anyone able to help identify/fix?

oh and the boost is still running standard 1bar... its not set higher... and the fuel cut was doing its job on the engine when they were setting it up at the garage also...

could it maybe just be the boost solenoid starting up as i press the accelerator?

im really worried its the engine... it was fine before having it fitted... never heard the noise before...

i can hear the turbo spool up really loud now tho... like a hoover kicks in after 3000RPM which it didnt sound like before...

 

If it sounds like a machine gun firing, then that's just the solenoid.
Turn the AVCR setting to OFF ...If it doesn't make the noise, then that confirms that it's just the solenoid!

FEW!!!! i can sleep well tonight then lol.... all i saw was ££££££ engine rebuild
