Quote from todays Hertford Mercury:
"Thieves were using a canoe to make an unconventional night-time getaway along the River Mimram in Hertford when police swooped early yesterday.
A dozen officers joined a dramatic operation involving the forces's helicopter and a dog handling unit to foil the gang as they attempted to steal a set of gold alloy wheels from a Subaru Impeza in Westall Close."...................
I'm disapointed that Herts Constabulary didn't think it serious enough to mount a full scale operation. 12 officers, a dog unit and a helicopter, is that all. Thank god thay wern't trying to nick the whole car, the whole of the British Military might have been involved!!

The cops asked them to pay the on the spot fine
