New 2004 JDM STI....yummmy!
There was a thread earlier about this car but can't find it now....but here are some images of the said vehicle with the subtle changes for those who haven't seen it:
Check out the all blue side door panels

Forester type centre console…yuck :P :

There's also a little bit more torque according to the Subaru website so it's not all cosmetics

ive now moved the screen to the upper slot............ when open it blocks part of the vents up front but still leaves the lower slot open for Mars Bars (albeit it warm ones)

Oh and BTW climate control sucks, my dad's last two cars have had it and it's a PITA. One of those things that's ideally suited to Mercs so their owners can boast about it down the pub, but in reality it's a fad that is nothing more than an annoyance

Now I notice how much I have to fiddle with my heater controls in my Scooby and still not get it just right.
I just like being able to decide how hot the air coming out of the vents is, rather than some bloody computer changing the temp all the time depending on how hot the 1cm of air around the temp sensor is. Case in point, I like driving with the window open (can't beat a breeze fresh air whether you have climate/AC/whatever) so the temp sensor detects less than 16deg. On my dad's car 16deg is the lowest setting, so if you choose this it thinks it's too cold and blasts hot air out. The only lower setting is "low" which blasts cold air out regardless of what temp it is.
Pain in the ***, it's one of those things where the car designers decided they're smarter than you so they'll program the car to make the decisions rather than letting you do it. Very much like cars with TCS/ESP which can't be switched off, obviously the computer can drive better than everyone on the road so it will make the decision as to whether the engine will accelerate and that's final

Sorry for the OT.... any ideas to this steering wheel size?

Having had a go in one, all I can say is WOW.
Really, really nice. NVH is better, the under body aero makes things a lot quieter, and the tweaks to the engine have made it even faster than the numbers suggest IMHO. Just as well they have gone to 235 section 070s coz they need the extra rubber to keep the thing under control
I love the way the rear end is now more planted with less sharp movement that used to make a rear seat ride a chore, and the new front diff has made the occaisional "grab" from the front end a much less violent thing. The new sensor on the DCCD-A seems to have smoothed out the torque shift a bit, so there is less rear end slide "show" and more energy transferred into kinetic energy
(bigger rubber helps too of course!)
All-in-all, lovely stuff. If you've got one on order, you've got something to REALLY look forward to
