Hi all,

Does anybody know the function of these 2 ECU pins?
B43-12 : Green-Black stripe
B96-11 : White-Blue strip

They are not listed in the UK manual (that I can find at least).

Ive just checked my ecu pin out diagram & it does not list these pins out
B43-12 & B96-11. Even though they are shown on the plugs/connections (B43/B96)
What do you need them specific pin outs for?

 

I am doing an engine swap from the japanese WRX to my US model '00 Impreza RS. I need to know the function of every ECU wire for the swap. I have all figured out except these two. If worse comes to worse, I will have to cut the loom and track them down. I am hoping one of you fine chaps have the answers ready to go.

As far as Im aware the green /black trace is prob from the speedo head to ECU signal wire. Had a problem with this wire, putting on the Check Eng light when cut (DP).
White with blue trace (guess) could be EGT sensor as its not fitted to UK car.

Vehicle Speed Sensor (2) is listed as B95-11. The UK manual says it green, but on my jap spec wiring it is actually green-black stripe. Could this be the one you are thinking of instead? Is there anyway I could I convince you to check your pinout to verify?

The EGT pin isn't listed in the UK manual either, but somebody else I talked to figured out that that one belongs to B43-5 which is Black-Blue stripe. The White-Blue stripe is still a complete mystery.

Is there a japanese wiring guru on this board?

Besides the EGT, can anybody think of any other EFI differences between the Japanese WRX and the UK model? EGT, extra O2 sensor, anything?
