What options are available for the WR1 and how much do they cost?

 

Pretty much any brace made for the New Age Impreza will fit the WR1. TSL IIRC do the STi brace (without the badges) for £105. Rear upper and lower are a pig to fit and you'll probably get more benefit from solid drop links and an uprated ARB which will be easier to fit. Don't expect to feel a massive difference, the new Impreza chassis is extremely rigid and unless your springs a very stiff, it has little flex.

Saw the new Prodrive Strut brace installed in two WR1s yesterday,very nice. Ordered one for myself.

 

is the prodrive strut brace the same as the sti's or different,is it titanium like the jdm's?

It's different from the current strut brace offerings on the Subaru web site. It's manufactured from aluminium and is polished. It looks really smart.

 

Titanium brace, sounds nice but me thinks its not going to be solid titanium.
If so it's going to cost big time.

There's only one way to go and thats the ProDrive Alloy Brace, looks great, tightens up things when you throw her in to the corners, that first little bit when it feels all light,,,,, not no more :>)

Do you have a price and part number for the Prodrive Brace?

 

Price was £320 not sure about the part number.
ProDrive only do two, carbonfiber and the alloy one.

 

Is this just for the front one?

 

yip, total quality product.
don't think of putting a cheep brace on, they suck, look like butter and it's like buying a fake ring for the misses. You will always know that you've not got the real thing.

I agree with paying for quality. Have you only fitted the front one? Wondered if anyone can comment on both fitted?

 

I asked elephant.com about this and the only thing they were bothered about was a big change to suspension e.g. to pneumatic was what they said. Didn't bother about uprated springs and strut braces when I questioned them. The lady went away and asked a supervisor.

Maybe you should get it sorted and report back ASAP.
