Default New PPP (325Bhp) on the way

Dealership said by the time I order / receive my WRX STI a new Prodrive kit will be available at the same price. They need to finish the WR1 run first then they will be supplying a 325Bhp pack.

Anyone else heard this, is it true, you knw what these dealerships are like with the accuracy of information ?

Why did they say this ???

I really am beginning to get Pi&&ed off with Subaru Dealers, it would seem that 90% of what they say it complete and utter Bull ****. What are they on ? I haven't quite ordered mine yet (prob about 6 weeks away now) and I can't trust a word they say. I'm beinning to wonder if I should get a 2nd hand Porsche Boxter S instead and that's from someone who has always wanted a new Scooby.

I'll phone him up on saturday morning and get him to tell me again and then call him a lying to55er ! and when he can tell me the truth I will think about placing the order with him instead of another dealership.

If you can't get it in writing, it ain't to be relied on. That's a blanket rule you should adopt when buying any car.

In my experience, people who frequent SN,the SIDC forums and 22b tend to know about up and coming products before most dealers do. The downside is that this leads to speculation, rumourmongering and sometimes blinding accuracy.

If this is true, it will surely be mentioned on the Prodrive website.

www.prodrive.com

Anyone see anything about it there ??

Didn't you mean blinding inaccuracy Neil?

You're right though, the way some of the chinese whispers that start here have subsequently taken on the status of fact with so many people is shocking.

GM
No, I meant accuracy. Rumours of the P1, WR1, Bugeye and Prodrive spring kit were all released on the net before dealers officially knew. As I said, sometimes people are spot on, mostly however they make things up as they go along.

"inaccurate" doesn't suggested completely wrong though does it. Maybe it's 315bhp or more than 325bhp

Is the WR1 not quoted as 320bhp? There was some talk of a 320bhp PPP so perhaps Mike would like to say if this is more, or less, accurate than 325bhp? :-)

Read mikes original quote I really don think they would bring out a 320bhp r 325bhp for that matter ppp pack when the WR1 is top of the pile, people could have similar performance for a lot less and it would take the edge off the Wr1's exclusivity
