The original prototype as featured in the magazines and press releases is white.

And sure enough here it is for sale.

Nice price but I bet those 36,902 miles are reporter miles as in Jeremy Clarkson type miles.

yep, needs the P1 wheels to set it off, rear spoiler looks like a P1 jobbie and it looks a bit lost without the spliter on.

i really like it though don't know if i prefer it to the blue, but it does look good!

Went n had a 'look' the other weekend, few bits need doing to it, looks like its had a bit of a hard life Had a flyer through today n they still have it...

Mind you, one of a kind, 16k, if it gets a good owner, it could be a one off dream

Yeah but this car is a one off, and should theoretically hold its value better than a P1.

Does anyony actually know the differences between a Type R and the prototype?

Has the prototype been ravaged of the fun toys that the Type R had? (DCCD, folding mirrors, central rev counter etc)

What suspension and gearing does it have?

Looks like a type R with P1 fogs.... no splitter/P1 spoiler etc

from what i can remember it has the dccd ' white wheel selector' control but its not connected up. I think pretty much else you would find on a type R is on it.

There was plenty of carbon body extras on it when i was looking 3 years ago, i dunno if they are still on it.

I didnt get the prototype in the end because at the end of the day it isnt a P1 and the colour isnt as good as the blue. ( TC )
