Ok as title says what year is a version IV and when does it go to version V?

assuming youre on about the sti, then i think the version four was 1997-98. The 5 was 98-99.

Hmm, I have a list of MY years for the impreza which is slightly different to the above....

 

The power outputs listed on the SIDC FAQ are a little contentious, but the model codes and model years are accurate. In what way is the list you've got different?

Erm, not necessarily. That's why I said the power figures are a little contentious. Think all the JDM cars actually had official power outputs of 280ps (i.e. 276bhp). The reality varies according to the model, the fuel, rolling road used to gain the figures, and sundry other factors.

 

The list I have shows the applied model codes to be different in places.

It was deciphered from the Subaru Impreza WRX Sports Parts Catalogue for the Japanese STi pages.

My STi is a 1999 face lift STi 5, but on the List above (GC8F4ED) its says its a STi 4?
