Disconnecting battery for a week
I'm due to go on holiday for a week in a few days and have been having a few problems with the scoob. The alarm has not been arming properly and occasionally goes off (eg 3.20am this morning
), so as i am planning on leaving my car at my grandfathers for a week would it be ok disconnecting the battery for 8 days or so to save him the hastle of trying to figure out how the hell these new fangled cars work?

um no i doesn't, would that be the only problem? i know the ecu will reset but i don't think that will be a problem, i was just wondering if there would be any other sort of problems?
Does your alarm not have a battery back up? IIRC Cat1 alarms have to have one. If it does, presumably your alarm will still go off anyway, probably more so as its back up starts to go flat and it gets confused!
