Took the car for its service and asked the mechanic to check it over for the MOT, they told me I needed a rear drop link, so I got one and it was £61 + vat. Its a bit much for a piece of plastic covered in rubber. As I'm probably going to have to replace the rest in the next wee while what does everyone else go for?
I have two small children in the back so dont want it to hard as the back of the car will be covered in boke.

Solid ones add a bit of noise, but don't alter the ride quality. It helps to reduce body roll, which is a good thing for young kids in the back.

Your choice is either OE plastic ones OR solid ones from Whiteline or Powerflex.

Whiteline are around £40 a pair, Powerflex are £35-£40 each.

£61+VAT for a single OE drop link is a complete rip off.

I went for the powerflex rear ones. Didnt really notice then to add any vibration / noise but it has helped the handling - stopped some of the roll. Think I paid about £66 for the 2 rears.

Just to add that Whiteline do two types of drop links. The do a thinner version (which I have) and now a more thicker version (same as Powerflex).

Doubt if you could really tell the difference between the two types, but at least you have options.

Powerflex service fantasic, complained that on of the rubber bushes was failing and got sent a new set.
