Question Strange Steering/lurching problems

Hi,

I'm having a bit of a strange time with my Catalunya. It's exhibiting some odd symptoms:

- Very light steering feel at motorway speeds
- Car seems to waver left/right oddly
- At manoeuvring speed, turning from full lock to the straight-ahead, sometimes get a "clunk" noise, and a single twitch feel through the wheel

It's been bumpsteer-modded 2 years ago, and "regeometried" at Power Station a few months ago, and the rear anti roll bar bushes were replaced with standard OEM jobbies the same week.

After the geom, it was fantastic. I must admit that I seem duty-bound to kerb the left rear wheel within a week of having the geom done, but recently it's been odd.

My question is: does this sound like a particular/obvious problem?

The prime candidates AFIAK (which is bugger all) would be:

- geom needs re-doing
- front bushes are buggered
- steering linkages or rack/pinion are worn

I don't really want to take it to the garage particularly, in case their fix accidentally removes the bumpsteer mod, or what's left of the geom.

It's at 66K miles, and needs a new clutch, backbox and the turbo whistles, too, but that's a separate story. Anyway, all advice is welcomed.

Take it back to Power Station for an expert check!
Changed tyres recently?
