Question Using Dawes Device to eliminate wastegate creep...

I have a My98 Turbo with Full Decat, no AFR, no Knocklink...

I was just wondering if it's safe to use my Dawes Device on my car and set the max boost to 0.9 (the same as factory)

I want the turbo to come in more violently as the car doesn't feel very fast at all, the turbo comes in nice and smoothly, too smooth for me...

What you guys think?

It would work, but tbh I'd rather have a knock-link just to make sure things are safe. you can probs get some more boost out of it as well. not sure where the dawes faq has gone these days, maybe do a search as there's all the info you'll ever need on there.

cheers,
simon

Impreza GT 98 with dawes and fcd at 1.2 bar, using 98RON Gas.

No problems (with knock and AFR) only drilled the dawes hole bigger to avoid boost spiking.

So 0.9 will be ok!!!

Cheers
