Thumbs up Leagacy suspension mods? same as WRX??

Hi All, a few questions from a newbie, building a 94 (mk1) legacy single turbo up into a usefull track day / fun car..

I need to sort the suspension out and wanted to know what was the set up to go for and what if any WRX parts are the same?

Can i use WRX coil overs on the car, and what if any mods will i need to do ?
What are the best (for tarmac) coil overs to go for?
Do WRX strut braces fit the legacy?
What anti roll bar kits are there (whiteline?) and where to source these from ?
What poly bushes to go for?
Is the anti lift kit (whiteline i think) any use?

I am trying to keep the cost of building this toy to a miniumum, so any advice on doing all this the cheapest way really appreciated! Also offers of any bits you may have for sale welcomed!

Sideforce, why not try the Whiteline site?
www.whiteline.com.au or email them, they really are vey helpful and quick to reply. I think most of the WRX stuff fits, but the strut top mounts are strange.

Yes thanks for that. I am looking at that site now. I am aware of the whiteline stuff and will prolly use their roll bars and strut braces. If i can establish whether the coil overs would be the same for the wrx and the legacy turbo then i have a far bigger choice and would prefer to use bilstein, koni etc..

Any old WRX stuff knocking about then chaps??

You may want to call him, he is Andrew Burt (www.andrewburt.co.uk) and is based in Solihull, West Midlands. Number on the web site. Tell him Graham Loakes sent you.
Good luck.

the springs didn't fit into the recesses on the top mounts properly

but that was because i was using the legacy top mounts with impreza shocks & springs, should be okay if you used all impreza stuff

The 'old' legacy is a very effective tool for the 'clubby' events. Andrew is very quick, and I'm sure the car he has is right up your street! It also has a killer engine......
Good Luck,

Yes, do that as it is always interesting to read how others suffer from this modification lark!
Good luck, call Andrew!
