I'm thinking of buying one of the Swissol Entry Collection Kit's for my MY03 which one is the best to get?
I was thinking of getting the Samurai wax is this the right one for a Scooby?


Also is Swissol like Zymol in that you need to have the body work at a certain temperature before applying the wax?

 

Samurai is the best for the Scooby

A nice warm day is good for waxing

You get a full instruction manual with the Kit

 

Samurai superb for me. Hot day bakes on the wax but it can be applied any day really, preferably out of the dirt, rain etc.

Worth the investment.

Unlikely you need to use Clay if the car is new, however, it is a very useful thing to have ready for next time.

You would not be unhappy with any of the waxes
The Samurai wax is blended for use on Japanese paint work
However if you are leaving the car out side or using it a lot then Shield wax is worth considering as it has Teflon blended into it for added protection
Also the darker the car, the more benefit in terms of shine you will see for using a wax higher in Carnuaba wax
If you have a silver car for example, then the difference in shine between a car prepared in onyx & divine will be negligable However this not the case on a black car for example !
The decisive factor will probably be your budget !
lastly Swissol should be used in dry conditions & can be applied in direct sinlight if absolutely necessary

For the bit of extra effort I would clay bar it.

The car is new to you but how long has it stood since manufacture ?

The paint surface is like glass when its been clay barred and cleansed.

Its worth the effort

The shield is maybe not the one for you then !
I would go for the highest up the range that your budget can run to !
If you waxed your bonnet half in Onyx & half in Concorso for example you would notice the difference ! Having said that I would expect you to be extremely happy with a ONYX wax for example especially if you havent used Swissol before !
You would notice a difference in shine on a MR Blue car !

How do you use the clay bar?

The cars going to be locked away for a couple of days when i get her home to fit mudflaps etc

 

If you go to www.performanceparts4u.co.uk there are detailed instructions on the use of Swissol products, far better than I could type out here.

Buy the kit and spend a day at it, the car will look ace.

My WRX is WRC blue and I've used many types of polish in the past and this stuff is by far the best.

Yes, clay bar = paint rubber set (you get clay bar + detail fluid)

The clay bar is available on its own !
It can also be lubricated with warm soapy water ! Then you either dont need to buy the quick finish or can use it for instant cleansing when required !
