Square number plates
Can anyone tell me where to get square number plates (especially front).
Been to two places (one was Halfords) who have both refused to comply on the grounds that they are illegal.
Any views?

I tried that in Halfords; they said if it was a bike, only rear square plates were acceptable

I own an offically imported Diahatsu Cuore TrXX which comes with square plates on both the front and the back. To get the plates done the garage I bought it from used a bike place.
Has the law changed in regard to this?

My friend went to the Halfords, and got a front square one for his Subaru.
It was about three weeks ago, they had no problem with it either!!
It was the New Malden, Surrey branch for all those interested.

Sebron Auto Spares in Downham Bromley Kent do them, Front & Rear.
Also in the Fast/Max Power type mags companies are offering all styles, shapes colours, logos etc, they state they are not road legal but still sell them.
Is there a minimum size for these square plates ??? I would like to make my Front smaller to let more air in

evo 6 has square front plate but imho looks mince have seen one or two imprezas with them ,doesnt look right.best tucking standard one hard up against the underside of the bumper for looks, beats small bike plate as well i think(also no need for "letting more air in" or subaru would have just sold cars with no bonnets!

Am I right in thinking that this post is in respect to the previous SPECS posting that said a square number plate could not be read?
What was the outcome? as last I saw a nice police type gentleman was going to look in to it.
