Question what's the fastest official 1/4 mile time for a road legal scooby?

only asking as a guy i know is organising a jap drag day and scoobs ain't quick enough to qualify

not entirely surprising as scoobs aren't exactly drag cars, but what's the fastest recorded?

Depends if you mean in the UK or worldwide.

Tony rigoli performace have built the worlds quickest 1/4 mile scoobs:

8, 9 and 10 second scoobs

It's the rad'. There isn't enough room at the front, with the turbo positioned as it is.

They can get away with the small top mount rad', because it's purely used as a drag car.

ScoobyDoo69 - is that the CRD car?

Should be some interesting scoobs this year, hopefully someone will break the 10second barrier!

I don't mean to disrespect Harveys car but with 585 bhp shouldn't it be faster than that? I know it's a daily driver so is it the weight that slows it down? I'd have expected high 10's with that power and weight

Part of the problem in ramming home the advantage of power might be a synchro gearbox, you can easily spend 1.5-2 seconds on gearchanges off the power on a quarter.
