Weren't some MY96 cars facelift models ie smaller turbos, higher BHP and not suitable for the scoobyecu? My car was one of the last being reg'd in Spetember 96. My friend has one of the facelifted cars reg'd in Nov 96 and he regards it as a MY96 car.
Thought the scoobyecu was just for 'phase one' cars like mine. Or were the jap imports different?

jap wagon has smaller turbo anyway..
easiest and most definitive way to tell is does the ecu have three or four connectors?
