hi guys just want to know if a 98 sti type r bumper will fit on this 97 wrx.would i need to change the grill and the lights.can i just get away with changing the bumper cos i like the grill etc.plzz could somebody help me!!

The early 98 bumper is identical,if you mean the 2 slat bumper it is a direct replacement and is a very easy job

 

As said above, later bumper fits onto the earlier cars no probs.

Did it on mine

the 98 bumper is the same as the 97 one isnt it??

i thought it was the 99-00 one which had the 2 slats

It's certainly worth splashing out on the grill at a later date tho !

 

i have the later gril with the early bumper lol

 

Heres a pic of my MY98 sti 4 type r with the later bumper.Looks much better IMO
