Default SIEZED UP ANY IDEAS WHY?

I have a 98 sti 4 type R which has siezed up solid without any word of warning. I went from Peterborough to the NEC.....car running fine .....before returning i checked the oil and water both fine....... travelled about 20 miles along the m6 at aprox 80mph slowwed down at A14 exit had to stop at roundabout where the engine cut wouldnt turn over so i tried a bump but it stopped on a pin. Parked it up let it cool down for nearly 4 hours waiting for the AA still siezed solid. I cant understand it at all temp gague was reading normal all belts are intact. the only thing i can think of is oil pump failure? any ideas?

I would have thought that if it were the oil pump you would have got the low oil warning light on?
